Summer 2026 USRA Recipients

Congratulations to our lab members who both received SFU Undergraduate Student Research Awards working under Dr. Hou! Read below to learn more about their specific awards and projects.

Abdirahman Hassan is a recipient of an SSHRC Undergraduate Student Research Award. His project involves a scoping review exploring the migration journeys of refugee youth and their families from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Mikayla Mbogga is a recipient of a VPRI Undergraduate Student Research Award. Her project is an intervention mapping study that will support general pediatricians in using a clinical tool to address the pain experience of children with severe neurological impairments.
