Culture shapes how we think, feel, and connect with the world, and everyone carries a rich and unique cultural background. Our research explores how children’s social and cultural environments influence health and well-being, with culture at the heart of our work. We are interested in better understanding how children and families flourish within diverse contexts. Findings inform the co-creation and implementation of culturally responsive interventions to advance health equity in underrepresented and underserved communities.
We use patient-oriented and community-engaged research methods, ensuring that people with lived experience are meaningfully involved throughout our work.

We are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. Our research, education, and community initiatives aim to support children and families from diverse backgrounds, including, but not limited to, differences in age, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, language, religion, and socioeconomic status.
We acknowledge that we operate within and benefit from broader systems of power and institutional inequities.
